This is not your typical guide to fitness.

Economic Athlete was created with a resourceful and creative mindset. It was designed to offer practical solutions to everyday barriers standing in the way of your health and fitness goals.

Working out is hard and many of us are not getting the exercise we need. For example, according to an article by USA Today, only 23% of adults living in the U.S. are getting enough exercise.Unfortunately, if you live in a small space, or lack the traditional gym equipment or cooking appliances, working out and eating healthy can be frustrating and difficult.

About the Founder

My name is Brittany. I am a PhD kinesiology student and lecturer, with a Masters of Science and Certificate of Nutrition.

I am passionate about health and fitness, and have trained for Ironman triathlons, ultramarathons, and body building competitions.

From living in a 450 square foot apartment with no refrigerator or stove, to attempting to train at 5 am and avoid waking up roommates, I understand how difficult it can be to exercise when all of life’s circumstances get in the way.

However, by circumventing the typical fitness trends and approaching exercise and diet with a more practical mindset, it’s possible to overcome these challenges and ultimately reach your athletic potential.

That’s why I started Economic Athlete
